Been to Dastakari during the weekend. It is the annual sale by Kalashetra, where you can find galores of handicrafts and pottery. This piece attracted me for the color combination

Day 30 : Miss you Paati

Today was the day my paati, breathed her last three years ago. I still feel like it was yesterday only when she used to cook food for me when I come back from school. My life would have been very different had she been still alive. I Miss you Paati. Life is different without you around.

Day 25 : Little Red Riding Hood

Botanically known as as Hibiscus rosa-sinensis,commonly known as Shoe Flower for any school going kid this flower captured my attention in Chikmangalur while I was on a trip. I feel Nature is one of the best creations on earth and we should try not to contaminate it as much as possible.

Day 24 : Pinky Pink

Flowers as I had already mentioned in my posts are my favorites to shoot. Or rather I love to shoot nature. Being close to nature will always help you appreciate how good life is to enjoy what all nature has to offer us.This week I will posting some randomly shot pictures of flowers. 

Day 23 : One more day to unleash life

Day 22 : Pillars of Rameswaram

A Serene click in Rameswaram. I liked the place a lot for the sculptures and carvings. But something that hit me very much was the acres of land in Danishkodi that was washed away by the flood. This temple was built during the 16th century.

Day 21 : Delectable Platter

We have a tradition at our office, when some one resigns, we host a potluck in their honor cooking the persons favourite dishes.This delectable platter was served in my close friend Narmada's Farewell Potluck. The names of dishes starting from curd rice clockwise , 1. Curd Rice ; 2 . Bisibelabath: 3. Mango pickle 4. Brinja fry 5. Egg Burji 6. Kesari 7. Vegetable briyani 8. Chips and Chicken Curry in the center.

Day 20 : Friday Special

I had a chance to go to EA on Pongal Day. This Kolam welcomed me and my friends into the mall. Being the first friday of Thai month, I thought this photo would be appropriate to be posted today. Have a wonderful weekend friends

Day 19 : Bangle Seller

Bangles always fascinate me or for that matter any girl. These bright bangles form an integral part of the annual car festival in a local temple. So look forward to it in April.

Day 18 : Color , color what color do you choose

These colorful chicks were clicked in Rameswaram. They were on the roadside when I was travelling via car. These poor creatures are dipped in a particular color, till the feathers are all colored. Though they are a feast to the eyes, I felt a little sad after getting to know the process of coloring them

Day 12 : Flower power

I am a big fan of flowers. So its all likely that you can see a lot flower pictures in this Project 365. This arrangement of flowers was clicked in Dakshinchitra. I was attracted to color and arrangement of the flowers.

Day 11 : Halwa or Cake

My friend Arun had been to Calicut and got us this halwa. It looked more like a cake but tasted like halwa. BTW it did have a taste of coconut oil.

Day 10 : Stand out in a crowd

I had visited the Buhari Hotel near my house over the weekend. This light caught my attention as one of the rods was not lit. I found it still attractive and clicked a pic. This decorative lamp reminded me of the old saying "Stand out in a crowd". Make your self different from others, Of course in a positive way. Guess this is a good thought to start the year.

Day 9 : Brighten your week.

Its the beginning of a new week. Sending you some brightness and light via this lamp which I lit this morning at home. Have a wonderful week. 

Day 8 : Mylapore Temple

I had been to the Mylapore Festival today and captured the beauty of the temple tower from side.The place was filled with people who were enthusiastically participating in the Kolam fest, shopping , eating and just about wandering in the roads. I regretted not taking part in the Kolam contest. But end of day it was fun to see so many people at the same place with various activities and colors.
